Adopting a Pet from Us

Things to Consider before Choosing to Adopt:

* Most importantly, proper pet care is a long term commitment that is similar to adopting a child. The
animal will require time, patience, love and financial support for the rest of its life.
*If you live with other people, discuss your desire to adopt a pet with them before taking an animal
home. This will help ensure a good match.
*If you rent, MAKE SURE your lease allows pets of the size and type you are considering. Check for
additional rent and deposits that may be needed.
*If you have other pets at home, be prepared to take extra time and patience when introducing the
new companion. We recommend that you keep the new animal isolated from the others until you have
had your new pet examined by your vet. Once the introduction is complete, make sure to give all pets
lots of Exercise, attention and love.  To read more about adopting a pet, click on

Why Spay/Neuter?

Each year, U.S. shelters euthanize over 10 million homeless dogs and cats. This number doesn't
begin to include those that die painful and lonely deaths by starvation, gunshots, poison,
automobiles, and many other dangers and methods of cruelty.

The only way to prevent this waste of life is for responsible owners to spay and neuter their pets.
Spaying removes the ovaries and the uterus. Neutering removes the testicles. Spaying or neutering
your pet is the most reliable prevention for many health problems such as infections, cancers,
tumors, and difficult births. Many behavioral problems such as spraying, territorial urine marking,
roaming, irritability, and aggressiveness are eliminated or reduced by spaying or neutering.
